Jizhong Pharma - Haikou, China

Project Brief

The facility was set up to produce Polygelene in the form of Intravenous injection. Polygelene is used as Plasma substitute.

The installed capacity is 2.8 million bottles per annum. The facility was set up in accordance to Chinese regulatory standards.

The production area is about 1400 Sq.M and has separate zones for Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Animal House, Utility, Service Area and Administration. The sterile areas and the other classified areas are constructed out of metal clean room panels. The solution preparation rooms were designed to handle solvents.

The key equipment installed include Solution Preparation vessels, Filtration units, Filtrate Collection vessels, Pre-Forming machines, Blow Molding machines, Wash-Fill-Seal machines, Super-heated Water Spray Sterilizers, Autoclaves, Purified Water Generation plant and Multi Column Distillation Units for generation of Water for Injection.
